Energy Audits

We offer a comprehensive approach to evaluating how well a building is performing, including energy use, moisture management, water use, combustion appliance safety and indoor air quality.
An energy audit typically takes four to five hours and involves inspecting and testing various building components from the crawl space to the attic and everything in between. The resulting report provides customers with a detailed view of how well their building is performing and a prioritized list of recommended improvements.
Combustion Appliance Testing (CAZ)

Combustion appliances (gas stoves and ovens, fuel-burning furnaces, fireplaces) that are not performing as designed will operate inefficiently. They also may draft or vent poorly, leading to moisture, smoke and even carbon monoxide in the building. We test each appliance for its energy efficiency and to determine how it interacts with other systems in the building to ensure our customer’s safety.
Zonal Pressure Diagnostics

Rooms or areas of a building can exhibit uncomfortable conditions due to how they are connected to the rest of the building. For residential customers, bonus rooms and finished attics are notorious for feeling more hot or cold than the rest of the home. In commercial settings, air, noise, smells, etc. can all travel through the members of the building structure.
Our zonal pressure diagnostic services involve using sophisticated tools to understand the building’s air flow and pressure dynamics.
