Building Certifications
Sundogs Solutions can act as an independent third party verifier, working for you as your advocate during the project, to ensure that you get what you were promised.
ENERGY STAR

Sundogs Solutions is an accredited rater for ENERGY STAR certification of new construction. ENERGY STAR qualified homes are designed to save a minimum of 15% in their energy bills compared to the same building not built to the stricter Energy Star standards. Additionally, many local utilities will give their customers anywhere from a 5% to 10% rebate on their energy bills. The same ENERGY STAR features that make the home energy efficient also often contribute to reduced noise levels and increased comfort for the homeowners.
NAHB Green

Sundogs Solutions is a Certified Green Verifier for projects seeking NAHB Green certification. The NAHB Research Center issues National Green Building Certification to all types of residential construction – new or remodeled single-family homes, new or remodeled multifamily buildings, and residential land developments – that meet the criteria of the ICC 700-2008 National Green Building Standard™. There are four green certification levels for homes available in the Standard – Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Emerald. Land Developments can earn One, Two, Three, or Four Stars.
Green certified homes incorporate green practices in six categories:
- Lot & Site Development
- Resource Efficiency
- Energy Efficiency
- Water Efficiency
- Indoor Environmental Quality
- Homeowner Education
