We are a small, dynamic and growing company in the energy efficiency and solar market.  So no matter what your primary role is, we all pitch in to make sure our clients’ projects are a success. Weatherization Crew Leader

Start date:  Immediate

Position:  Full-time

Number of openings:  1

Description:  We are seeking a crew leader with prior experience in the North Carolina State Weatherization Program (WAP) to lead a team of 3 to 8 people in completing prescribed weatherization measures.  The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper application of weatherization protocols, completing required daily paperwork, directing others, problem solving, and testing the success of the weatherization effort at the end of every job.

The candidate must possess a good understanding of building sciences, plan and organize the workflow and be able to direct others’ work to ensure the job gets completed in a timely and orderly fashion.  The position requires interacting with customers on a daily basis as well as the agency representatives.  The candidate must be able to operate a blower door, pressure pan & flow hood as well as be able to troubleshoot errors and challenges when testing a building.  The candidate must also be able to interact with sub-contractors and direct work to be completed when needed.  The ideal candidate will be a cooperative team player and good problem solver with a strong work ethic who can lead a team by example.  This is a working leadership position.

Required:

  • Non-smoker
  • Experience in state administered Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)
  • Clean driving record
  • BPI certification (Building Analyst minimum)
  • Able to perform CAZ testing

Preferred:

  • BPI Building Envelope
  • OSHA 10

Construction Superintendent

Start date:  Immediate

Position:  Full-time

Number of openings:  1

Description:  We are currently looking for a superintendent of construction to supervise multiple renovation, addition and repair projects.  The superintendent will be responsible for interfacing with the customer and for on-site supervision of work being performed to ensure the proper installation of materials in accordance to the manufacturer’s specifications as well and adherence to building codes and the architectural/project plans.  The individual must be knowledgeable in all aspects of construction and must be able to lead multiple projects and numerous crews both in house and subcontractors.

Daily driving to job sites in the greater triangle area is required.  Some basic computer skills are necessary such as email, word processing and spreadsheets.  Vehicle allowance and fuel will be provided by the company.  You will be  expected to ensure proper adherence to the work flow process and maintain proper paperwork on each project.  If you are interested, submit a resume and we can provide you with a more detailed job description.

  • Minimum 15 years of construction experience
  • Experience with all aspects of constructions from foundations, framing, siding, roofing, windows & doors to trim work

  • Certified in some form of green building practices
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Past or active general contractor’s licence in the state of North Carolina

Solar Sales Leader

Start date:  Immediate

Position:  Full-time / commission based

Number of openings:  1

Description:  We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to fill the position of Sales Leader for our company’s growing residential solar division.  The individual must be knowledgeable in both solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, be comfortable on rooftops, have good customer presence and have a demonstrated record of successful sales.

The candidate must possess a good understanding of both the science and economics of the residential solar industry, be able to converse fluently with customers on the technology, site and building specific considerations and create an estimate and schedule based on the customer needs and site specific considerations.  While this is a commissioned position with high yield potential, we are looking for individuals with a passion for the industry and strong moral character who are able to be honest with customers and present fact based proposals and estimates.

Required:

  • Prior sales experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Certifications or training in both solar thermal and photovoltaic systems
  • Able to perform solar site analysis

Preferred:

  • Prior solar sales experience
  • Prior photovoltaic installation experience
  • Prior solar thermal installation experience
  • Prior solar pool heating installation experience
