Air Sealing & Insulation

Warm air leaking into your home during the summer and out of it during the winter wastes a lot of energy dollars. Sealing seams, cracks and openings to the outside, discovered during the Energy Audit, is among the most cost effective weatherization measures.
Insulation must be adequate and properly installed to be effective. A good insulating system includes a combination of products and installation techniques.
Sealed Crawlspaces

A closed or sealed crawl space is a crawl space that is completely sealed from the exterior and is insulated. When done correctly, this eliminates humidity, prevents mold and condensation and creates a more energy efficient barrier.
Water Management and Conservation
Saving water saves energy. The simplest ways to save both water and energy are to install water-efficient products, water cachement systems to save rainwater for outdoor use, and to adopt simple water saving habits.
Windows & Doors
Weatherstripping doors and windows typically is a good place to start. In some cases, but not all, replacing them is cost effective. Damaged, rotted or broken doors and windows that don’t close properly should be repaired or replaced. Installing ENERGY STAR qualified windows, doors, and skylights lowers energy bills and saves you money.
