- Greater reliability. Each panel has its own Enphase microinverter, so if one should fail, the rest of the array will continue to function. A study from 2008-2010 showed Enphase microinverters to be 45-70% more reliable than central inverters.
- Greater performance. The separate microinverters yield 5-25% better performance over a typical DC system with a central inverter because each panel adapts to its local temperature and sunlight conditions to produce the maximum amount of power that it can.
